The Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) is a strategic data and policy analysis unit established following the dismantling of the Administered Pricing Mechanism (APM) and abolition of the Oil Coordination Committee (OCC), PPAC was created to support the ministry in managing petroleum pricing, subsidies, and market analysis. It maintains a comprehensive data bank on India’s oil and gas sector, monitors domestic and international price trends, and assists in policy formulation.
